We are the Clary family! Here's a little introduction to our little family.
I am Rachelle Clary. I will be writing this blog unless I can randomly convince Brendan to write every now and then. I grew up in Salt Lake City, UT. One of the biggest parts of my life is dance. I grew up dancing and I love it! I have training in pretty much everything, but my biggest passion is ballet. I am currently trying to finish up my dance degree at BYU. It's taken me a long time to finish up, but I'm almost done!!! I love being a wife and a mother and I'm excited to document the little moments in our life on this blog!
My husband is Brendan Clary. He also grew up in Salt Lake City, UT. He is an artist and graduated from BYU-Idaho in 2010 with his BFA. Currently he is working on his masters through an online program. He teaches art at Salt Lake Community College and gives private lessons as well. He also works on his own art and is extremely talented!! I am so proud of all that he has accomplished. My favorite thing about Brendan besides his sense of humor and mad dance skills is how spiritual he is. The gospel is everything to him and you can feel it whenever you are around him. He is the best dad in the whole world and baby James loves him already. I am so blessed to be married to such an incredible man!!
The newest member of our family is James Clary. He was born on February 3, 2016. He was a health 8 lbs 4 oz and 20 inches long. He is a perfect little angel and hardly ever cries. We love him more than we can express and are so excited to see him grow!
Here's a little bit about how Brendan and I met because I love love stories so I just have to share ours!
Brendan and I got set up on a blind date back in 2012. One of my dance students had Brendan as a substitute seminary teacher and decided he was perfect for me so she eventually figured out how to get my number to him. Our first date was lunch at Subway, super romantic, I know. We talked for a couple of hours and after that I was hooked! I could not stop smiling after that date. We kept on going on dates for a few months and met each other's families. For some reason Brendan wasn't really feeling it though and decided we should just be friends... That didn't fit into my plans though. I kept hanging out with him and tried to prevent him going on dates with other people. It eventually got to the point that I moved into the same apartment complex as him. I had to be present enough to keep myself on his radar, but not overbearing. Eventually it worked! He randomly took me to breakfast and then asked me to be his girlfriend! YES!! We dated for about 8 months before he proposed to me. It was a complete surpass, we hadn't talked about getting married. I literally went into a state of shock, but I was also the happiest girl in the entire world!! We got married in September of 2013 in the Salt Lake City Temple. I am so glad that I somehow convinced the greatest man ever to marry me and that we are sealed together for all eternity. I am one lucky girl!
