Burp!
Today I was feeding James and he burped while he was latched on. His little cheeks puffed out and then his eyes got really wide. It was so cute and so funny! I want to remember these little moments forever!

My Incredible Husband
Four years ago today I met my amazing husband. We got set up on a blind date and went out to lunch at Subway. I was so giddy after meeting him and couldn't wait to get to know him better and eventually marry him. Yes, I was one of those love at first sight people... but if you know Brendan at all then you can understand why. He is the most loving and kind people that I know. He is so unselfish and is always ready to serve not only me, but everyone around us. He is so supportive and is always there for me even when it's really hard. Most of all he is so close to our Savior. This man loves God and Christ more than anything. You can feel the Spirit just by being around Brendan. I love listening to him talk and bare testimony of the things that he knows. His quiet strength has gotten us through many hard times. He was and is everything that I could ever want in a husband and father for my children. I am so glad he decided to take a chance on me 4 years ago.
Nighttime Scare
So funny story...Last week I was having a nighttime feeding session with James like we do every night and I decided to watch one of the new episodes of the X-Files (yeah I'm a nerd, but how can you not love Mulder and Scully??). So in this episode there is this monster thing that comes and kills people and when he's coming the lights turn off. Well this is happening on the tv and right then the lights in our house turn off. Scared me half to death! Don't worry though, no monster was trying to kill me, my dad just has the lights on a timer to save electricity. However, that show got turned off very quickly and replaced with The Princess Bride. Just one of those really funny moments that I want to remember.
One Month Update
James is one month old today! I can't believe it! Here are some of the things we have learned about him so far:
Size
When we went to the doctor last week he weighed 9 lbs 0 oz (50%). He was 21.5 inches long (75%). His head was 14 inches (25%). He's tall and skinny with a little head, just like his daddy! He can still squeeze into newborn clothes, but they are definitely getting too small, but most of the 0-3 month clothes are too big. Same with diaper size, newborns are getting too small and size 1 are big. He's just in the awkward in between stage.
Sleeping
He loves to sleep during the day! But... not so much at night... He pretty much only falls asleep if he's being snuggled unless he's completely exhausted. We're working on getting him to sleep at night. Last night he slept for about 5 hours although mommy did not because she had to hold him in order for him to sleep that long. It's a work in progress...
Eating
He is a great eater! We are totally getting the hang of this breastfeeding thing. He only eats formula if mommy is away for longer than 3 hours (it's only happened a few times). Mommy's favorite thing in the world is the cute noises he makes when he eats. Mommy's least favorite thing is that she's the only one who can feed him... can't someone else take a turn every now and then?? Oh well... We really do love the bonding time.

Cuddling!!!
His binkie
The fan...Seriously! He will be fussing and fussing and then see the fan and immediately relax.
Bouncing...which is killing mommy and daddy's backs and arms!
Dislikes
Bath time
His car seat
We sure do love this little baby of ours! He makes us laugh every single day with his funny faces (his pooping face is the funnies thing in the entire world) and with his cute noises. We love seeing him grow and watching his sweet personality. We have the best baby (seriously, he hardly ever cries) and we are so in love with him!
